First Stand 2025: Fearless Draft Based Tournament
First Stand 2025 will be the first international tournament to use the Fearless Draft format. In this system, players must adapt to a more varied champion draft, allowing them to explore a wider champion pool.
The first domestic split of the year also featured Fearless mode, and received a positive response from players, teams and fans. This format features a wider variety of champions, which makes matches more dynamic and interesting.
The following is a complete list of teams that have qualified for the 2025 First Stand tournament representing their respective regions.
LCK (Korea) – Hanwha Life Esports
Hanwha Life Esports managed to defeat Gen.G in the 2025 LCK Cup, securing a ticket to First Stand 2025. During the tournament, they showed extraordinary champion pool depth, giving them flexibility in game strategy.
LTA (America) – Team Liquid
Team Liquid appeared dominant in LTA 2025 Split 1, defeating 100 Thieves with a clean sweep in the final round. Even though they experienced difficulties in the best-of-three against Cloud9 and Isurus Estral in the qualifying round, they were still able to secure victory in the final match.
However, Team Liquid’s main challenge is their lack of experience in the best-of-five format in Fearless Draft, in contrast to teams from Korea and China who are more used to this system. They only played one best-of-five series, namely in the final round.
