The new EWC 2025 rules are very interesting. There is something significant being created and certainly a headache for some of the collaborating teams.
The existence of the Esports World Cup has made many esports organizations rack their brains about being able to play in the branches they play.
It is not easy for a team to create a division, especially if the game is not common or popular in the country where they usually compete.
Because of this, collaboration is one way to be able to play in certain divisions. For example, Fnatic collaborates with ONIC, which is really big in the Southeast Asian Mobile Legends scene.
Team Falcons also collaborated with AP BREN in the last year, and many other organizations use the same method.
This is to pursue the general standings which are taken from the accumulated rankings in the game divisions that are being competed for as the overall champion.
The new EWC 2025 rules appeared in the MLBB Overseas post. There is a long explanation about the latest regulations that have made the new EWC rules appear and should be a headache for several teams.
There are four points discussed in the APDET regulations, mainly in the direction of Joint Ventures, or teams that collaborate will suffer quite large losses.
The following are the points of the new EWC rules
Joint Ventures, or 2 esports organizations collaborating to fill the roster for a particular game, will not get Club Championship Points in 2025.
Collaborating teams cannot earn The Club Championship points contribution. They are only allowed if the relevant game’s rulebook allows.
If the roster wants to contribute to the Club Championship, the club must have the same name in all games (divisions) and club championship/
EWCF may agree to certain exceptions, namely meeting publisher requirements. Detailed regulations will be announced in more detail in the next few weeks on badaktogel online.
